Rant/Rave apps

The B of A app lets you deposit checks by taking a picture. I didn't believe it but it works.

Kohl's app is useless. If you scan coupons or Kohls cash they can't be found on the screen so you still have to carry the paper coupons when you shop.

I used the check deposit with Schwab's app once and it was a revelation. The only downside (for me) with my bank not having a local branch had been depositing checks so I just avoided getting them at all costs since I would have to mail them in with a deposit slip and never knew how long it would take for the check to arrive at the bank. I still have only used it the one time but I couldn't have been happier. I submitted the pictures around 9pm and the money was available in my account the next morning. I was shocked.

I will always be a fan of the Home Depot app as well. I installed it a few years ago when it first came out and it has maps of each store and can tell you what aisle something is in and if it is in stock. I don't shop at Home Depot very often but some friends of mine were doing some pretty heavy updates to their house at the time and they would talk about what they needed to pick up and how they weren't sure which area some stuff fell under so they thought I was actually smart enough to tell them what aisles to go to. I didn't tell them that I was using the app until maybe the fifth time they asked me where to find something.
