It seems like you used to be able to avoid trouble in STL if you avoided the "rough spots." Now we have carjackings in Kirkwood, Webster Groves, and Affton, a hotel employee was murdered on Hampton, a Desmet kid was murdered on Washington Ave, police shot a guy in Des Peres, etc...
Just seem like things have taken a turn for the worse lately. Maybe it's the same but we just hear about it more often now. It just sucks, I knew the guy that worked at the hotel and he was one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet.
