I've been pondering this. I think your best bet is shredded cheese on a silpat. Set it in a box in a fridge that holds the shape and you can really let it harden at a lower temp. Then bake or fry it.

Apparently if you spread out some cheese in a nonstick skillet, brown it and hang it over a spoon handle it works like a charm.

I love the economy of getting all 2,000 calories before 0900. Michael Lewis should write a book on it.
