How many more good/bad appearances will it take to find out? I don't know the answer. I guess all I'm saying is the leash should be extra short because a) the season is on the line and b) Rosey has been shaky lately. I don't want a repeat of what we saw right before the ASB.
I'm gonna have to remember to pick up some cyanide today just to have it on hand if Rosenthal gets called on.

I don't completely agree with pioneer, but Jesus, comments like this are [expletive] obnoxious and bad for nerdy baseball discussion business

Again, the Cardinals have a 2.77 bullpen ERA with a hodgepodge of not-so-great relievers filling the majority of the innings. No one in MLB is out there saying, 'Man, I wish we had ... Cishek, Broxton, Maness, Belisle, Tuivailala, Villanueva, Choate and Harris pitching a bunch of innings.' It's a pretty amazing job, really.

Rosenthal's recent struggles have arrived with Molina's absence. Could be a coincidence. Could not. Here's the reality: The Cardinals most likely don't have the bullpen depth to win the World Series without Rosenthal pitching well. I suspect they don't have sufficient depth WITH Rosenthal pitching well. None of their remedies has panned out great. They're going to need a pitcher or two to snap out of it and have a great month or they're going to lose.

That's also what makes Waino intriguing...not that I expect to see him closing games
