I guess all I'm saying is the leash should be extra short because a) the season is on the line and b) Rosey has been shaky lately. I don't want a repeat of what we saw right before the ASB.
Think you're overreacting a little bit here? All I'm saying is that based on Rosenthal's performance yesterday and his less-than-stellar performance in some of his past appearances against Pittsburgh, I am less than confident about him getting the call in the ninth inning against the Pirates. If you disagree, fine.

I'm not demanding his firing I'm saying I'd be fine if he was. His game management is poor at best.JL21 wrote:Mad Reamer is one.fanforever wrote:He still has poor bullpen management regardless of the record. And no one is asking for him to be fired...show me one person here who wants him fired...

Matheny imo is manager of the year and yet we have another group that wouldnt mind seeing him go. i guess that shows there is room for difference of opinion.

I can't help but wonder if this whole injury situation were we keep winning thing is more to do with the Cardinals large number of MLB ready talent than anything Matheny is doing. I don't know.jim wrote:Matheny imo is manager of the year and yet we have another group that wouldnt mind seeing him go. i guess that shows there is room for difference of opinion.

I think Matheny deserves manager of the year but he makes mistakes from time to time. No manager is perfect.

Re: Who Should We Hire?
Oh, sorry--yeah, I for one will be super-nervous if Rosenthal takes the mound in this series. It's better to be in a position where he is taking the mound than one where we're down 8-0 going into the 9th, but Trevor does not fill one with confidence.Schlich wrote: it did appear like you were mocking pioneer instead of agreeing and amplifying. misunderstanding. kumbayah.
