I honestly hate this 1 game crap, and this game has nothing to do with it. One game can't decide which team is better. Not that a best-of-5 series or best-of-7 series really does, but at least those are better.

I'd almost rather have a third wild card team added since they won't get rid of the second wild card now. Have a wild card team play against a division winner. All games at home for the division winner. No days off. At least one double header in there. Reward the team that won its division and, supposedly, is deeper.

Okay, so that's stupid, too.

I compare it to a Roman gladiatorial contest. A fight to the death for the public amusement. I like the all or nothing aspect to start the playoffs. Before, you were never guaranteed Game 7 magic in any given year. Now you are. I like it.
