I'm sure Yadi would have to be on board before they signed Cueto.cardsfantx wrote:this what i meant from yadi...not so much in cueto per se EXACTLY...but that they've had issues in the past and he may perceive the FO doesn't care about their feelings.very sad!! first tony , now jay!!! wow maybe iam next!!! ,,, i know is business for them ,,,, they dont care about anything only business ,,for me we are family ,, iam so sad men!!

love yadi--hes prolly one of my favorite players of all time, but if hes not gonna sign off on a pretty good player who can help this club because of a beef that happened like 5 years ago, then i dunno

Who runs the team - John Mozeliak or Yadier Molina?Spider John wrote:I'm sure Yadi would have to be on board before they signed Cueto.cardsfantx wrote:this what i meant from yadi...not so much in cueto per se EXACTLY...but that they've had issues in the past and he may perceive the FO doesn't care about their feelings.very sad!! first tony , now jay!!! wow maybe iam next!!! ,,, i know is business for them ,,,, they dont care about anything only business ,,for me we are family ,, iam so sad men!!

Mo does, and he's smart, so he will make sure Yadi is on board is my guess.

If Yadi says no...does that mean the Cards shouldn't do it though? I am all for them having a clubhouse conducive to winning but GMs shouldn't get clearance from players on personnel moves.

It would be like when Mo shipped out Craig in the Lackey deal because Matheny kept running him out there.

Re: Johnny "the Kicker" Cueto
or just don't read what i said lol...
i simply said i hope they talk to yadi
yadi perceives (according to how i interpreted it), the FO is all about business/doesn't really seem to care about the player's feelings
they then possibly sign a player that he/the team has had a pretty serious beef with in the past, and don't even talk to yadi? i can see how he'd be pissed.
again, it's not cueto/yadi....it's about if he feels the FO cares what he/the player's think.
and i hope they do/will talk to him if the have a chance to sign him

Re: Johnny "the Kicker" Cueto
The front office should only care to a degree...they can gauge Molina's opinion on Cueto as a pitcher and what it might take to soothe over hard feelings, but if Molina would be unquestionably against the move because of that incident then that's his problem.cardsfantx wrote:again, it's not cueto/yadi....it's about if he feels the FO cares what he/the player's think.
