i bought tickets to see ACDC February 20th at the Scottrade center.....check another one off my bucket list bands to see..

Both AC/DC and Bruce Springsteen are playing here in the Twin Cities in February. I want to see them both, but tickets are going anywhere from $250-$300/person for each show.

Can't quite justify dropping $1k on four nosebleed tickets.

I crossed them off my bucket list without even knowing it. Google tells me it was September 28, 1978 at the Rochester NY War Memorial Stadium. They were the opening act for Thin Lizzy and Blue Oyster Cult. Nobody had heard of them but they BLEW the room away.

At first it was was like 'What the hell is this?'. Some guy in what looked like leiderhosen shaking his head like a maniac. But a couple songs we were totally into it.

Thin Lizzy came on and they were so much less they were booed lustily by the entire hall.

It was something to see.

I was there 10/3/1985.

A righteous group was picketing because Angus Young was mooning the crowd that tour. Pretty sure he mooned the crowd anyway.

Pretty sure Yngwie Malmsteen was the opening act.

Pretty sure that was the one we talked a female into joining us losers on the rock and roll road trip, and pretty sure we didn't parlay this into anything major.

Pretty sure we got more action when we went to see Wendy O Williams open for Judas Priest and passed around a pair of binoculars. Or was it, Whitesnake - nah that wouldn't jibe as an opener - and Whitesnake didn't bother to show. NSFW, but fully legal Zeus.

This song basically sums up my young concert-going years, only with mostly uncool dudes involved, marginally less fun , lesser bands involved, no acid and in bum [expletive] Illinois

I had a chance to see them back in 82 in Germany and I didn't go. I always regretted missing that show....since my kids are now grown my wife and I have tried to go see at least one concert each year somewhere here in the midwest. We have seen Fleetwood Mac, Areosmith, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Sammy Hagar in the last few years. I haven't been disappointed yet.
