You can bake it in an oven on some aluminum foil. It's a perfectly cromulent way to make bacon.

This is the only way hubby and I cook bacon. We don't use foil but place it on a rack on top of a cookie sheet. Never crumbles or shrinks and the grease drops into the cookie sheet.

Now that is genius I can use. by cookie sheet ,you mean one with an edge, correct? I'd still foil the sheet/pan for easier cleanup. And I damn well better line it up properly, or burn the place down.

I only cook bacon in a small cast iron skillet. You end up with a pool of fat that the bacon sizzles in, and it's delicious.

They also sell pre-cooked bacon but that doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Yes, cookie sheet with an edge. And thanks, I never thought of using foil on the cookie sheet for easier clean up!

You then fry your eggs in the bacon grease and double your heart attack chances - but it is worth it.

It's how my mom did it and she made it to 90. Dad would have probably made it that long too had it not been for ALS.
