Ya know I'm getting a little older. Makin a little more money. It's past time that I put away childish things like idealism and embrace being part of the establishment, but I gotta still be able to pat myself on the back for saying that I'm cool with poor people not being treated like trash without actually trying to change how we help them.TimeForGuinness wrote:I just want to give attention to thrills new username...it's the best.

I read the Clinton comments with that protester and I'm trying to see what he said or did that was so bad? I don't get it. I heard what Hillary said in that video about Super-predators, again I don't quite get what she said that was so wrong. She and her husband are jerk wads don't get me wrong, real jerks, but I don't really see the issue here.

I don't think Bill's comments were that bad in themselves. Like I said, it's nothing new in the context of the Clintons' defense of the crime bill. The comments were just embarrassingly tone deaf and a half step above "all lives matter" condescension/deflection.jim wrote:I read the Clinton comments with that protester and I'm trying to see what he said or did that was so bad? No one outside of leftist activists are going to care about this, probably. I just think the double standards are hilarious. Sanders would be crucified if he talked to black people like that.

This sounds like an excellent topic for a TED Talk.thrillary wrote:Ya know I'm getting a little older. Makin a little more money. I guess I don't see where it was tone deaf, but I'm not a leftist activist so I probably hear things differently.Schlich wrote:I don't think Bill's comments were that bad in themselves. Let's face it, poor people and minorities who vote for Hillary are uneducated and are voting against their own best interests. If they saw things from my educated young white middle class perspective they would feel The Bern and finally help themselves.thrillary wrote:Ya know I'm getting a little older. To be clear: You're still old.
That's a Bernie bro stereotype, not a general Bernie supporter stereotype.
