What would be interesting is if Hillary gets indicted, and Biden steps in to run.Michael wrote:We talk about the democratic side more, but the Republican side is way more interesting. Their convention is going to be nuts.
I think Trump will be denied as well

I think Biden would run away with it easily.TimeForGuinness wrote:What would be interesting is if Hillary gets indicted, and Biden steps in to run.Michael wrote:We talk about the democratic side more, but the Republican side is way more interesting. Their convention is going to be nuts.

Even if he doesn't get the first ballot, Trump is still the odds on favorite. Under the current system, if the Party wants to deny the nomination to the winner of the most delegates, they need to start laying the groundwork now for why it is appropriate to overrule the outcome of the primaries. This remains quite a tall order while Trump remains the most popular candidate among Republicans. Can be done, of course, but far from the most likely outcome.Michael wrote:We talk about the democratic side more, but the Republican side is way more interesting. No matter who they chose to nominate, the Republicans' chances of winning the Presidency in 2016 are quite poor. Pragmatically, the focus of party should probably be figuring out how to limit the damage in the non-Presidential races in November and to the future viability of the Party.

Bernie didn't seem like a super car kind of guy to me but it's awesome if it is.

If I'm the Repubs, I release transcripts of WS speeches. I mean Trump is Trump and Cruz is married to Lady Goldman. What would they have to lose?
She'd just spin again anyway. Seems like something would have leaked by now, so maybe WS really does love her.

I can't imagine what the point is there. May as well beg reporters to interrogate your guests after the party.thrillary wrote:What is this about queen?
