This was perfect....this fiasco has been an embarrassment and everyone responsible for amplifying it is a disgrace to their profession.

Throwing out unsubstantiated accusations of racism is harmful....it can potentially weaken the credibility of someone who has actually been the target of racist comments and halt progress. And while the NYDN acted the most irresponsibly, the Cubs fans who got this started are prob. the most despicable of the bunch. Using an accusation of racist comments as a weapon in a silly tit-for-tat battle of sports fan superiority is morally reprehensible and just as bad as someone using the word aimed at someone.
