2019 Concerts Thread (updated before luke yells at me)
Let's just go ahead and start a "Concerts Thread" separate from the "Music Talk Thread".
I went to see Silversun Pickups at the Rave in Milwaukee Friday night. They we good, but Foals opened for them and stole the show IMO. I had never heard them before, but they gained a fan. Bought their album on the way out (What Went Down) and really like it.
Next up...I'm going to see Tame Impala on June 9th.
Who are you guys/gals seeing this summer?

Re: 2016 Concerts Thread
So far my concert book is Gregg Allman, Paul McCartney, and ZZ Top. I've seen ZZ Top before but the others I have not. The only concert I've been too so far this year is The Who which was amazing. I might have had low expectations because well they are 70 and canceled twice but holy hell where they great. I'm pretty reserved at shows but when Daultry his the scream on "Won't Get Fooled Again" I lost it. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.
Tal Wolkenfold opened up for them and she was great but sadly I was too focused on the Who to really give her the listen she deserved.

I dont really have anything on the bill for the summer. I thought about snagging tix for Blink 182 but i dunno. not sure itd be the same without Tom.
Going to see Sturgill Simpson again in October at the Ryman. I'd be content with that being my only show this year.

Blackalicious (but at a seated theater, I wonder how it's going to go).
What's your opinion on seeing Dylan? I believe the name of this tour is 'Everyone's dying so you better get your ass out to see me.' Should I go see old, broken kind of weird sounding Bob, or just listen to Before the Flood and appreciate the romance of the thought of it? I'm leaning toward going. Before the Flood will always be Before the Flood.
I'm really hoping Tom Petty adds a date in the NW and may flirt with going to the Bay to see him.
