It [expletive] me up when I put my coffee mug down and can't find it. Tonight, I needed a beer to justify watering the #&$$ plants my wife foisted upon us. I put it down, a glass pint and sumbitch has disappeared. Headlamp search and all. I got a fresh beer now, but this will haunt me.

Losing stuff is just a way of life with me. It only wreaks havoc if you let it. Just roll with it. Other people around you might get upset - like when you are heading out to for a date night and you can't find your keys because they are in the livewell of your boat for some ungodly reason. Then again you just have to remind them that is just price they have to pay for you being you.

Looking for sunglasses as we speak. Calling the ice cream store I was at last night.

edit - found them. Laying right next to the trolling motor on the boat. I tore the boat apart, every compartment, took tackle boxes and cases apart. Right when I was ready to give up I noticed them sitting right in plain sight on the front of the boat.

I have found the boat to be a rich and virtually untapped resource for misplacing items. There are more nooks and crannies in that thing than my house could every come up with.

I lost my locker key at the health club for about 5 minutes today. Didn't bother me, it gave me an excuse to go out by the pool area to check out the Mom's swimming and laying around.

You have to roll with these things freed. Accept it. Embrace it.
