Re: 2015-16 NBA Season
I was actually rooting for him/Cleveland as well and don't have any hate for him. I think he really was invested in getting Cleveland a championship. You have to be a pretty good guy to get to pick where you work and say, "You know what? I think I'll go work in Cleveland".
Sometimes I just think the NBA is 1 part sport and 2 parts theater which is why I'm giving him some [expletive]. I'm not a big theater fan. I like the sports part though.

Oh Jim, you'd love soccer. Those guys are critically--like never going to walk again--injured before making miraculous recoveries several times a game.

I was pulling for the Cleveland angle but I really wanted Golden State to lose so there isn't even an argument if they are better than the 96 Bulls.
They are now immortalized as the NBA version of the 07 Patriots and the 01 Mariners.

I did not know this actually. I was unaware that soccer could be worse than it seemed, but apparently it can be.MrSaigon wrote:Oh Jim, you'd love soccer. Those guys are critically--like never going to walk again--injured before making miraculous recoveries several times a game.

Really on the Steph thing, or are you saying that facetiously?MrSaigon wrote:Draymond was really good. If he could just not attack people's testicles, the Warriors probably win.
I thought Steph's presser was very impressive.
I was blown away by Draymond's press conference. He was effusive in his praise, and he seemed truly sincere and genuine with everything he said. He also went out of his way to congratulate and shake hands with the Cleveland players. He sounded like a man that was humbled and gracious.
Steph just sulked. He gave the right answers, but the answers seemed hollow. Everything was just lip service. Draymond's words actually felt like they held weight, but I got the complete opposite impression from Curry.
On the court, there are a lot of reasons to dislike Green... but he really won me over with the way he handled himself after the game.

Perhaps I misread Steph, but it felt real to me. I guess Draymond wasn't lubed yet:
Draymond is very kicky. Watch LeBron's fall again. I'm not Draymond's biggest fan. Though I wouldn't tell him that if he was at certain proximities to my genitals.

If Durant to GS happens, I may actively root for his foot and Curry's ankle to re-explode--two guys a like, and rooting for injury just being a horrible thing to do. With the new cap, the NBA might have to come up with some competitive balance devices.
