I am surprised that the ghost of ducky joe didnt remember the st louis browns.

Joe, you should cite your expertise in gutlessness. As a ghost you lack guts, thus you could lecture us in what it means to lack guts.

On a related note, when did trolls turn into ghosts?

We are definitely not gutless, I could actually do with quite a lot less gut.

Don't forget the ongoing FBI investigation.
Sorry, but I know (or care) nothing about that issue.

Oh, Joe: It's "you're a gutless cheat as well"
Glad you caught the reference. :-)

Huge movie buff. Well, I WAS until action and CGI became more important than story.

I used to be a big Card buff too. But the addition of LaRussa and his self serving practices actually being lauded by the talking heads started chipping away at my loyalty. Now that he's gone I would think that Ozzie would have been restored to a significant place in the organization. Oh's interpreter wears a Card uni for Chrissakes.

Right now Oquendo is being eased out the door and the town says nothing. I stand by gutless.

He probably did, but because they're the Browns, they don't really count.

How is Oquendo being eased out the door? He had knee surgery. I would love to see him get a managerial job, but it won't be in St. Louis. LaRussa - love him or hate him was involved in some of the most Successful Cardinal Years ever.

St. Louis didn't "let" the Rams get away. The owner wanted to move, so St. Louis got [expletive] so the NFL could make more money.

I did in fact forget about the Browns. I don't know enough about the 1950s team and the climate of the town. I suppose that the Cards' popularity at the time was at a zenith and the Brownie attendance was dipping.

But that's just a guess.
