Rave: finding a case that is directly on point the night before an oral argument on a motion to dismiss.

Rant: not being confident that the stupid judge will follow the law and will instead kick the can down the road until the Illinois Supreme Court hears an appeal on the case upon which I am relying

As I have been told by a district court judge more than once, "This case is going to be decided on appeal anyway, so I'm denying your [legally correct] motion."
