Duncan the Wonderbeagle is having spinal surgery right now for two herniated/calcified discs. There's a 75% chance it's successful and she regains use of her back legs. It's all over but the waiting.

Eek. That sounds like serious surgery. Was she wearing a cart around or just losing mobility? Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.

She's had bouts of back pain/inflammation before. Basically she woke up yesterday morning and it was clear something was wrong - she was wobbling and dragging her legs. Throughout the day, she lost all use of her hind legs. It's awful to watch your dog pulling herself by her front legs, dragging her useless feet behind her. I guess we'll see if she recovers.

Ha, she does like to hump things! Never been close to the WS trophy though. And for the record, not named after either the Cardinals superb pitching coach or our inept power hitting temporary left fielder.

Absolutely, best of luck Duncan!

I've started volunteering at Stray Rescue of St Louis, if any of you fine folks are in the mood for a nice stroll round and lots of love off some big friendly dogs, then you should come along. Seriously, you can hang out with dogs as lovely as Beeblebrocks - https://www.strayrescue.org/beeblebrocks - so if you can spare a bit of an evening a week, I highly recommend it.
