There is a new pizza place opening in a few weeks on S. Grand and apparently they are going to be strictly vegetarian with vegan options. No thank you. I will not be trying their pizza. I order pizza without meat fairly often but I just have a feeling that is still not the type of place for me. What really confused me is that they are strictly vegetarian with vegan options but they are using a high gluten flour for their crust and no gluten free options. Am I the only one that finds it weird that they are going that route? Why not go gluten free and hit all the buzzwords that people are into these days?

I think it may be? I don't remember exactly where it is at. I just remember seeing it as I passed by the other day and finally remembered to look it up.

More solely veggie places, please. The number of places (especially chains) that have one single vegetarian option in the middle of pages and pages of meat is pretty high.

That's a rough one if you're not in an urban center that has a million restaurants and a lot of room for veggie places.

Maybe it's catching as a trend though. A popular restaurant group here opened a veggie-driven place last year called Bad Hunter and it's been a big hit, so of course there are two copycat places opening in the next couple months.

Have you been to the South Grand area near Tower Grove Park? That's probably your best bet to find a good number of vegetarian/places with multiple vegetarian options around this town.

Unfortunately I require large amounts of beef (and beer) to keep up my unhealthy gut so I'm not of much help otherwise.

They are not often thought of as according-to-Hoyle vegetarian places, but Indian and Thai restaurants have a ton of meat-free dishes that are pretty darn tasty.

Sounds like he's opening the meat & 3 style restaurant I told him he should open.

Also glad to hear that the Man-Grove location isn't getting the Sweetie Pie's retread.
