Fire alarms suck.
Everyone you work with hates you. Burt microwave popcorn is the worst.
Apparently it was someone putting a tortilla in the toaster that caused the smoke and fire alarm yesterday.

Tortilla in a toaster? What the [expletive] did she expect?

Yes, everyone at my work does hate me.... because I am so awesome!

I think I will cook my fish in the break room oven today, everyone loves the smell of fish...

Someone did that in my office one time and I removed the microwaves for a week

The shower works just fine as shaving cream. I've never bought that or an electric shaver in my life.

I noticed this too. We drove through Wentzville the other day and from the exit on 70 through strip mall hell to 61 there were 5 that I noticed. Does Wentzville really need 5?

Charter customer service has been excellent to me. Yeah, the salesman aspect sucks when youre trying to cancel or switch your setup. But their technical support is extremely helpful.

Just makes me wonder if something has changed or if I'm just lucky or if everyone has been complaining for nothing. Or maybe charter has always been good and I'm just stereotyping cable companies.

My general experience with the service that cable companies provide has been pretty good, across multiple companies and states. I think it's a situation like airlines, where if things go wrong you're likely pretty significantly inconvenienced, so emotions are going to be more raw. You hear more about those horror stories that way.

That said, I'm pretty sure Charter could afford to slash my internet bill in half if they just stopped trying to upsell me. Phone calls, weekly direct mailers, emails, weekly mailers in coupon/flyer bundles. No, I'm not going to double my bill for the triple play, if you stop pretending I will maybe we both can benefit.
