It's gonna happen. First they'll claim Wisdom from the Cardinals in the Rule 5; trade him to the Braves for Matt Adams; then flip Adams + Peanut Vendor #7 for Stanton.TimeForGuinness wrote:Can't wait for the bonkers offer from San Diego

I'd send some players to talk to him. I wouldn't send the Ivy League dweebs with bow ties and powerpoints. Hopefully it gets to that point.

Send Edmonds to talk about how a SoCal guy fell in love with STL.pioneer98 wrote:I'd send some players to talk to him. I wouldn't send the Ivy League dweebs with bow ties and powerpoints. Hopefully it gets to that point.

It's very possible the Marlins have accepted our offer and the only sticking point is getting Stanton to waive his no trade clause.

I believe if he wants a gift basket, now that Jeter is with the Marlins, he's employed by the right team already.Joe Shlabotnik wrote:And the fruit basket. Who took care of sending the fruit basket?

Waino has a history of sending Jeter gifts...JL21 wrote:I believe if he wants a gift basket, now that Jeter is with the Marlins, he's employed by the right team already.Joe Shlabotnik wrote:And the fruit basket. Who took care of sending the fruit basket?

Sending Edmonds and Ozzie would not be a bad idea. Both traded from SoCal teams to the Cards. Both MVP caliber players. Both led their teams to incredible runs of success.Radbird wrote:Send Edmonds to talk about how a SoCal guy fell in love with STL.pioneer98 wrote:I'd send some players to talk to him. I'm not sure I would send any of the current players. Maybe Molina. But, you want to give Stanton the idea that he would be the face of the franchise, not playing behind anyone currently on the club.
