Send him Bo Hart to prove that even the crappiest, most unlikely of players can become a legend in St. Louis.

I'd just send Chris Carpenter to yell at him.
Oh, and a LeGrand's Legend.

They should dust off 2003 tapes of Esteban Yan to sweeten the presentation. It'll make St. Louis look like a juice box.

Just send Pham and Fowler so they can joke about how much they're going to make fun of Matheny when they're in the outfield.

Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston hears from a source that the Red Sox should be considered "an extreme long shot" to trade for Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton.
Drellich writes that the Red Sox have indeed talked to the Marlins, but a match is unlikely for multiple reasons. The Marlins want top prospects in addition to the acquiring team taking on most of Stanton's remaining contract (10 years and $295 million). The Red Sox are said to have some concern about Stanton's durability and there's also the question about whether the slugger would even approve a trade to Boston. The 2017 NL MVP would reportedly prefer to be dealt to the West Coast, with the Dodgers potentially being his first choice. The Giants and Cardinals have also been mentioned prominently.

http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-c ... 54163.htmlMarlins warn Stanton: Accept a trade or you’ll be only star on stripped-down team
According to two sources with knowledge of discussions, the Marlins informed Stanton in October that if he refused to waive his no-trade rights and accept a trade, he would remain a Marlin and team officials would look to trade off other top players to reduce payroll.
While it wasn’t presented to Stanton as an ultimatum, one source said, it shows that the Marlins aren’t without leverage in their efforts to deal Stanton and relieve them of the financial burden he brings. Stanton has said he doesn’t wish to be part of a rebuild.
