I have a working or relaxing problem

Post by IMADreamer »

This isn't anything new, I think when I was younger it was survival so I did anything I could. Now of course that's not a problem but I still can't turn things off. One of the reasons I sold my business a few years back was because I was missing life. When Nic got sick I realized I'd screwed up and wasn't doing the important things. Like spending time with her. I did really well with my new found slower paced life for a little bit, but things ramped back up. I guess it's back to the fever pitch.

Michelle has never been mad at me once in the going on a couple years we've been together. Today she did when I told her I was going to go do some work rather than sit around all day. She got mad and told me to sit down and relax. After a lecture about the hours I put in at the farm, and the hours I put in at my little side business, that it was time for me to stop and just turn off.

It was nice most of the afternoon, we goofed off and went for a walk. Went for a small drive, took some photos of the sunset, and just relaxed a bit. Now though it's downtime again and I'm sitting on the couch thinking I should be doing some 3d design, or maybe some research for a new project. I'm just not the netflix and chill kind of guy. I have to be doing something and I'm afraid it's going to be a problem with Michelle since she seems irritated.

Every guy is a "Netflix and chill kind of guy", if you're familiar w/ what the Netflix and Chill lingo actually means. :P
