MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports that the Indians have been "in contact" with free agent first baseman Yonder Alonso.
Bastian notes that Cleveland has also been linked to Logan Morrison and Matt Adams in the club's search for Carlos Santana's replacement. Alonso registered an impressive .866 OPS with 28 home runs in 142 games this past season between the Athletics and Mariners, earning his first career All-Star nod. The 30-year-old left-handed-hitter slashed .282/.383/.517 against right-handed pitchers.

we missed out on Yonder. Would've made it a little easier to get Machado to stay in STL with his brother in law.

Would think it would take Frazier + Acevedo + Widener. Can't see the Yankees giving up Torres.
