Pancakes v Waffles
Two will enter, one will leave. Unless, of course, there is a tie. Or I guess it's possible I feel compelled to add crepes or, though unlikely, pigs in a blanket- well then the math gets entirely whacky. You know, I probably shouldn't have started with the cage fight rhetoric.

I prefer the crunchiness of a waffle.

I haven't had either in a really long time, but if I did, waffles. When I was a kid I liked how the syrup would fill the little craters.

I rarely order or make either, but when I do, it's pancakes. I do like how, as a butter and syrup delivery system, the waffle provides the natural collecting receptacles. I honestly can't choose.

A really good pancake is ever so slightly better than a really good waffle. But, a mediocre waffle is quite a bit better than a mediocre pancake.

thats an interesting take to me because andy richter had a similar response when he was asked this same question in a rapid fire segment on the kevin pollak chat show...but andy thought a bad pancake was better than a bad waffle.Fat Strat wrote:A really good pancake is ever so slightly better than a really good waffle. Re: Pancakes v Waffles
The lightness and fluffiness of a pancake gives it the edge in my book. It absorbs the syrup and butter better.
HOWEVA, you need the sturdiness of a waffle if you're gonna put fried chicken on top of it, which is pretty clutch.
