Haven't listened to the Atlantic City cover, but it's going to be tough to beat Nirvana. That's one of my favorite covers along with "Lake of Fire" from the same album, and I like both better than most of their original stuff.

This is a brutal matchup for me. Leaning AC.

The nature of Pandora feed had me familiar the remakes of both of these songs, before I was familiar with the originals. Which is weird because Bowie and Springsteen - maybe I just forgot the originals over time.
Admittedly, there are major holes in my music sampling from the 70s 80s -had a steady diet of hard rock and then top 40. So much of what is older music is still new to me. *

I'd have a hard time liking any cover of Atlantic City more than the original.

At first I wasn't in to this live version of AC, but then the drums came in faster and heavier than the version I'm very familiar with. It's a great version of a great version of a great song.
Atlantic City, easily, even if I'll be teased mercilessly by my middle school classmates.

IMA picked a good song, but ran up against a behemoth.

i seem to recall an interview with bowie where he expressed "anger" at (younger) fans who suggested he covered it from nirvana, hah

Wow I feel like if AC goes down here this whole tournament is suspect. I think Russian meddling should be investigated to the fullest extent.
