I mean, we kinda knew that was true, but it's sure interesting to see it graphed -- and graphed by a MLB player at that.

Juiced balls? Global warming? Aberration?

I'm going with juiced balls. Maybe not even intentionally juiced.

The balls are definitely juiced. Verlander said he really didn't even care that they did it because everyone's playing with the same balls anyway-- he just wanted MLB not to lie about it.

Matt Klentak: at what price should any of Cobb,Lynn, Arrietta accept a 1 year deal? 15M? 25M?

Jeff Sullivan: Arrieta: $30m
Cobb: $25m
Lynn: $20m

MK: Do you think Nats not signing Arrieta is directly related to re-signing Harper next year?
10:16

Jeff Sullivan: No, I think it’s directly related to Jake Arrieta and Scott Boras wanting more than is warranted
10:16

Jeff Sullivan: When I’ve asked around what I’ve been told is that the asking price is still way, way higher than anyone finds comfortable

Jake Arrieta still thinks it's 2015

Gosh. I don't live under a rock, or anything. But in what reality is Cobb a $25m pitcher? I get that Lynn is worth that. These last couple of years, its felt like Lance anchored this rotation; Waino passing, and Carlos still "potentially an Ace". So I get it, he's worth 20. And Arrietta is living in the past. He's not worth it, but I get why they're asking. But Cobb at 25? He's supposed to breakout, fine. Still recovering from surgery a couple years ago, fine. But he wasn't close to 200in, aver about 6 K's per 9, etc. None of his 18 stats really jump out at you, and he's a finesse guy..

With Mikolas struggling is it time to call Lynn?

I don't know if they're juiced, but they now contain 100% of the RDA of Vitamin C.
