It's amazing that he's doing that. It's incredibly hard to find anything to not like about the guy.

The videos on Instagram and elsewhere on the web of The GOAT King James coaching his kid's team are also amazing. Some kid missed a dunk on a breakaway this week and LeBron is on the sidelines clapping screaming "It's OK! It's OK!" He's huddling those kids up and encouraging them, coaching them, mentoring them. Imagine being a hoops prodigy and getting a "hey, it's ok you biffed that play" in public from the GOAT. Who's giving you crap for missing that dunk after LeBron told you you're good and to forget it and move on? That builds character in kids. He doesn't have to take time to do this stuff, he just does it because he's him. Remember Jordan's HOF induction speech, that was all basically "Screw everybody"? He even said to his kids "I wouldn't want to be you guys if I had to, because of all the expectations that you have to deal with." It was competitive and hubristic. He was the Walter White of the NBA. Can you even imagine LeBron's HOF speech not being the polar opposite of that, humble and grateful? He's glad his kids are his kids so he can teach them basketball and life, and he is--if I can play armchair shrink--more of the mindset that he can't wait to see the adults they will become than he is looking at them like they can't be as great as him. Jordan? Jerk. LeBron? Human Being HOF first-ballot guy.
LeBron, analytically, is the GOAT. He did more on the floor to help his team win than Jordan. As a man in the NBA, as a public figure, he's also the GOAT. That's sometimes a bit much for some guys, like Kyrie or twilight years DWade of last year's Cavs team, but that's ok. He's not just the best on the floor, he's the best at showing the next generations how to compete, and how to be an adult human.

MPJ sounds like a total dick. Newly minted millionaire and he's taking some kid's shoes he can't even wear.

My gut is telling me zion williamson will bust hard like Anthony Bennett. I don't see it when I look at the footage.
But that crazy roided physique and vertical is nuts.

The guy who settled out of court for ripping people off with his fake university.
Doesn't like the guy who spent 100 million giving underserved kids an education, a bike, and a helping hand for their parents.
Shocking.
LeBron / Pop 2020.

My wife and I are considering making a weekend trip to see the Pelicans play the Thunder in OKC January. I've never been. Any recommendations for what to do or where to go?
I'll take fine dining recommendations but honestly we probably don't want to spend more than $20/person on dinner if I'm being honest.

There's some steak house that the Thunder players love. I remember reading that KD tried to buy it out for a night for the Dubs when they were there last year or the year before and the restaurant said no because the Thunder players like it so much. So KD and the Dubs just went ahead and ate there among the regular folks. Probably a good place to spot the players if they don't get whisked to some private dining room, but also probably pretty pricey.
