2018 - 2019 Blues (Hockey) Season

The Blues need to sign an absolute monster of a human being who can skate just enough to track down Wilson and beat him to a pulp the next time they play. Did any MMA fighters play hockey growing up? Heck, I don't even care if they go full Happy Gilmore on him and try to stab Wilson with a skate at this point. This is at least his third suspension that he's gotten for cheap shots on a Blues player alone since the start of preseason last year when he was suspended for TWO different hits on Blues players.

At this point they have to take him out by any means just for their own safety on the ice.

Wow. That's a huge suspension in my book. It was earned from the little I've seen of Wilson (this being the third time in barely a calendar year that he's been suspended for a hit on a Blues player in the PRESEASON!!!).

Edit: Fun fact, this is only his fourth suspension somehow and three of the four have been at the expense of a Blues player in PRESEASON.

Only his 4th suspension... but all within 105 games. This was only his 16th game (including playoffs/preseason) since his last suspension. And now we wait to see if the NHLPA appeals the suspension, despite Sunqvist also being in the NHLPA.

I have no idea what is a legal/illegal/clean/dirty hit, so I can't really comment on that. But, it certainly looked unnecessary. The puck was gone and Sundqvist obviously wasn't expecting it. Throw in that it's a preseason game and the hit was clearly to the head.... [expletive] Wilson.

The head is the biggest part of the suspension ruling. I was watching the Bruins at Caps last night and they showed the video explanation for the suspension and it was clearly stated that it was because it was yet another hit to the head of a player who was not expecting it. The NHL has basically said that if he doesn't clean up his act with these head shots, he won't be playing much hockey going forward. About freaking time.
