The one drawback to NOT having a majority owner for the Packers is firing people usually takes a lot longer than it should.Freed Roger wrote:damn, I like Mike. that team would be decimated with injuries but still be a contender. Yes, but fortunately for the Packers, they have had good coaches. Andy Reid for example before McCarthy. Packer coachdom is like picking the NFL version of the Pope.Mary1966 wrote:The one drawback to NOT having a majority owner for the Packers is firing people usually takes a lot longer than it should.Freed Roger wrote:damn, I like Mike. that team would be decimated with injuries but still be a contender. Yeah McCarthy lost his mojo, but he WAS the coach they needed for a long while.
Also, how does the dude in Dallas keep his job with the weirdo ownership? Stays just enough mediocre I guess. Or does Jerry jones see his younger self there or something?
Also, it is a grueling job. I can see why coaches lose their mojo.
Wondering if more teams will look outside of the box like the Rams, and go for young blood instead of the establishment rotisserie.

Reid was an assistant under Holmgren in GB after he left Mizzou and before he became HC at Philly. So you were close.

If it’s true that she was mad at not being allowed to groupie in his hotel room and stood outside and yelled N****r!! and came at another woman then Hunt swinging, would it change anything for anyone?
/i’m unsure if that is in fact what happened

Yup. He was great up until the past few years, and just seemed to really struggle with adapting to today's game. No creativity in plays being run, and outwitted with so many plays/alignments.Hoot45 wrote:I am so glad McCarthy is finally gone. Long overdue.
