I’m not an all-inclusive vacation guy but damn the John Prine, Isbell et al thing in the DR would be so freaking great.Freed Roger wrote:Going to Jason Isbell & 400 Unit, with Son Volt in Louisville

ELO A New World Record was one of my first 2 or 3 records. An older sister’s BF gave it to me for my 11th (?) birthday.

I know. It's sad. I love Jeff's music in ELO and TW. He had so much influence with others as well.Jocephus wrote:he and bob are the only wilburys left!Fat_Bulldog wrote:I think I am going to see Jeff Lynne in Chicago this summer.

The Who is coming back to town this year. When I saw them a few years ago they were great and part of me says I should just leave it that way.
I think they were piping some vocals in, but I'm not sure.

Oh man, that is awesome.lukethedrifter wrote:ELO A New World Record was one of my first 2 or 3 records. An older sister’s BF gave it to me for my 11th (?) birthday.
"Mr. Blue Sky" - tribute to ELO is playing Blueberry Hill on 5/18. I'm definitely going to that and probably to Chicago in July to see Jeff Lynne.
Van Halen 1984 was one of my first albums. Along with Thriller.

Not a concert, but got tickets for Potted Potter for the wife next month for our pseudo-anniversary. ELO is coming here this summer, and we're trying to decide if we want to get tickets for it or not.
The Minnesota Orchestra routinely shows movies with all music being played live by the Orchestra. They've done all the Harry Potter movies and last week did the original Star Wars Episode IV with the classic John Williams score. We had planned on catching several of these films, but they never lined up with our hectic schedule. We'll hopefully get to catch one of them soon.

I didn’t even know who ELO was at the time.
That tribute concert sounds fun. ELO is one of those bands I like but isn’t really in my current rotation much.
