For some reason I just had a feeling that Robby Fabbri was going to have a huge game in Barbies place and help propel us to the win.

Would be sweet poetic justice.

Let's do this!!!

I mostly just have a problem with the league handing out suspensions on results rather than intent. The only thing intentional with Barbashev’s hit was to apply a check. No shoulder lift. No altering his target to hit his head. Just an unfortunate play.

And that goes both ways. I wouldn’t want Coyle or whoever suspended over an unfortunate hit. Intentional stuff like a slew foot? Yeah.

Next thing you know they won't be allowed to pitch inside anymore.

This hit on krug with about 14 minutes left in the 2nd. Of everything I saw, this was the most egregious head shot of the night. And he finished with the elbow coming up knocking krug to the ice.

I do remember an elbow coming up and thinking we had a penalty (or more) coming. And now, w/o seeing a replay, I’ve forgotten so maybe same play.

Just a couple things after rewatching the game:
God damn what a horrible start
Schwartz had, what, 11 goals coming into the SCF and has zero in them. Be helpful for him to find the net again.
Binnington did an amazing job pushing rebounds away from the net. Absolute stud obviously
The Bruins dressing 7 defensemen because they were uncertain about Chara was understandable I guess. But, no way they do that again, right. And, if not, are they dropping Chara or Kampfer.
The shot of Backes watching the game was sad.
Sundqvist is the absolute master of getting hit and "tangling" the hitters stick up in his arms. Led to the Pietrangelo near goal at the end of the 2nd and there was at least one other time he did it.
Still feel like Pietrangelo didn't have a good game....for him. Lost a few pucks and a few battles. Had the puck bounce on him a couple times.
Having depth at center is so key.
Krug is a punk
Bortuzzo for edmondson was a great call
There were a metric [expletive] ton of penalties that could have been technically called but they just let them play on both sides and that tone was set in the opening few minutes.
Every time a bruins player is touched the boston fans think its a penalty. dumbasses
This series is not over
To borrow a phrase, there's nothing like playoff hockey.

I've watched the trip maybe 1,000 times now and Acciari sees Bozak coming before he turns. He turns his back to Bozak so Bozak can't hit him lest he be suspended ala Sundqvist. Bozak hits the breaks and tries to play the puck. He completely whiffs on the puck but it's not his stick that caused any problems. Bozak's leg hits Acciari's leg after Bozak had been shaving ice for 5'.

Then.

Acciari goes down like an anvil took out his legs, flips his right leg over his head amazingly from a simply trip, and grabs his head, is slow to get up, basically hits every note for concussion protocol that's possible except for the acting confused portion since he yells at the refs. You know who else did that and was not concussed (minus the yelling at refs part)? Backes. After he got lit the [expletive] up by Blais....but then he continued on playing and had no issues. Backes checked every single box for concussion spotters but wasn't concussed. He's obviously a flopper. And, he probably learned it from Boston who probably teaches all their players how to flop like pros. Because they're cheaters. [expletive] cheaters. There's flopping and then there's concussion worthy flopping. And, that's the bruins. Advanced level cheaters in the art of flopping.

People assume Bozak quit to plead his case. Boazk quit because he was confused af.

And the hockey gods were not please. Hence Perron getting a few lucky bounces.

I've rewatched the recaps a bunch. I'm pretty nervous for tomorrow. The Blues stole game 5. It wasn't like the last 39 minutes of game 1. They did have their chances, and even though the shots and scoring chances favored Boston, I think the Blues played a smart defensive game, and that the high danger chances were closer to even. That said, Boston was a scary opponent in game 5, and I'm sure they will come out even harder tomorrow.

Please Blues. Just please.
