Karma for game 5. Blues controlled the play most of the night. A great Rask and poor puck luck does them in.

I was trying to find the count of "scoring chances". The announcers said towards the end of the first period it was 5-5 in that stat. The second period also seemed pretty even. The 3rd period got out of hand though.

I am fully expecting the blues to lose now.

This has been the most exhilarating and yet excruciating two weeks of my life. Only fitting to end it with a thud.

Rask was the difference in that game. Re-watching some of it, he made some incredible saves. Even the goal, he got a pad on stopped it, just a few inches too late. The play where it hit the post then his back and Mcavoy swatted it away was a great play and likely a goal 99% of the time.

Kind of got away from them at the end, but what an intense game. Definitely felt like the bruins got away with some penalties in the first period, but that kind of evened out later in the game.

One more to go. Somebody's got to win and this team has responded well to loses with their back against the wall. Boston's tough, but the Blues can play better and hopefully get some bounces in game 7.

That was an absolute killer. Heartbreak. Kick to the nuts.

It felt like the Blues were just a bit off. Bouncing pucks. Passes to skates instead of sticks. Couldn't settle pucks. Bounces not going their way. Had possession but just couldn't finish.

And the bouncing puck leading to the 5 on 3, and the ugly, ugly, UGLY 2nd goal. 2 poor plays by guys who got you here. they don't happen, different game.

The Blues seemed like they had the better power play, just couldn't finish.

Wheels fell of at the end. Seemed like they stopped skating on the 4th goal. (or after the 3rd) Started making some dumb pass plays late in the game.

Not sure what to think or expect for Wednesday. Doesn't seem like much hope, but then again, they've won after getting blown out so who knows. Just gotta win a game Wednesday.

Rask was incredibly good. He was the difference. Gotta tip your cap, and play our game Wednesday.

At every point similar to this i've said the Blues were toast. In their history they tend to struggle to recover from games like thus.

But this team has proved my intuition wrong every time previously, so I still have hope.

Game 7 is absolutely winnable by the Blues.

While I am saddened about the game last night, I’m not discouraged. Blues couldn’t seem to catch any breaks. Boston did.

Not liking the thought of Game 7 on the road, but the Blues can do this. Play like they did last night (or preferably better), and hope that we catch the breaks this time.

Everyone's ignoring the real fact the blues are toast which has nothing to do with hockey and how good Rask is playing, the Bruins are better, etc.

The stl post dispatch on Sunday published online the congratulatory advertisements from enterprise as well as the parade route I think and some other stories they were going to run if the Blues had won last night. Just kicking the hockey gods square in the nuts. What a bunch of idiots. I'm baffled they could be so stupid.

But, as was evidenced last night, the PD pretty much sealed the fate for the Blues. It's a shame that no matter how well the blues play, they will be denied all thanks to the idiocy of the post dispatch. They could sacrifice all of humanity at this point to appease the gods and it still wouldn't be enough.

They always have that stuff ready to go in advance. Someone just made the mistake of making the pages live. Dumb mistake but it is what it is. The Boston papers I’m sure have their stuff ready to go for Wednesday night too.
