Hudson has had a few decent outings in a row; after a very rough start.

Bunting leads to offense; the last two games have proven that. SSS is the new standard.

The most earned runs he's given up in a start since the beginning of May has been 3. That's not "It's the Marlins".

(whispers loudly)

It's the Marlins.

He's been doing pretty well for a while now.
An illusion.

His walks and hits given up aren't scoring. 4.66 xFIP the past month. I wouldn't count on it holding up when the competition comes up a few ticks.

Like Atlanta and Philadelphia? Or the Rangers, who have scored the second most runs in the majors?

Whether it holds up or not in the future is not what I'm discussing. I'm giving him credit for a good job done and a great turnaround.

I know you're allergic to anyone pointing out anything that is remotely positive in a GDT, but allow me to enjoy a single positive in a very disappointing season so far.

Bats are coming alive....it is the Marlins but sometimes you need a jumpstart from somewhere to carry through.

The Cubs got fat on wins over the Marlins, and now it's the Cards' turn. Yep.

Marlins have 1 WAR collectively as an entire team hitting.

Sorry if I'm not overly excited. I've seen this song and dance before.

Do what you like, but you act like he's only doing this against the Marlins and the worst teams in the league.

He's had a great month against some pretty potent offenses.

But you do you.

If he continues to lead the league in GB%, I’m less concerned about xFIP.

He has some of the worst peripherals in the game. Even in his past good month, it's been bad.

But of course, *if* that is the case, that'd be nice. I don't know many pitchers like that to comp to.
