He really shouldn't even have won the title that he did. He was pretty darn fortunate in that regard.

Still not impressed, personally: he's good at distracting players with silly things and being all "awwww shucks" in front of the camera, but ehh.

I happen to think Maddon is an above average manager. But I think he enjoys the media attention too much, so it's not enough for him to win. The Cubs had to win because of him.

Glad to see him go from Cubs because I don't like his antics. ...but, if he is such a stale and bad manager now, shouldn't Cardinal fans lament his departure?

Cubs won a World Series, and that's what matters, but I thought they were headed for an extended stretch of dominance. They could have been the Astros. I think they squandered a great chance for more.
