Driving Kingshighway between Magnolia and Chippewa is terrifying. Not only is it almost always busy but there are lanes closed randomly for work on the side of the road, people driving like they are in bumper cars and what puts it over the top is the road itself.
For some reason along that stretch of road my car just wants to suddenly veer in random directions. It is hard to actually stay in my lane at times.
The crazy thing is that my car tracks perfectly straight on every other road but there is something about that stretch of Kingshighway that isn't right. Then when I learn one spot that causes trouble and avoid that part of a lane, I just run into another spot. I guess I'll just stick with avoiding and when I do have to take it, deal with the spots that I already know are going to try and send me in another direction.

I am re-reading the Lord of The Rings after several decades. Lord, what a racist screed it is! I don't recall having that reaction in college but reading it now it is as plain as day. Probably because I was stoned most of the time reading it then...
