who was/is a better actress...january jones or christina hendricks?
Hendricks. I know part of it is the character, but January Jones seemed wooden. Joanie was a perfectly lived in performance.

Choose Your Own Kimmy Schmidt is great. But the UI is so goddam clunky. When you try to go back through to see all the stuff you missed it's a nightmare. Can't fast forward. Can't navigate to choices. Frustrating. I'll have to watch scenes through several times to make sure I see everything.

You may want to find some kind of online guide to seeing everything. But at the same time, I wouldn't want to miss the fun of just playing it through organically once.
I had never watched any of this show before your post but since then I have gone through the CYO episode a bit and have started binge watching the series. I'm in the middle of season 3 now and am really enjoying the show.

The first time I watched the CYO episode, I was having trouble staying awake (it was late) and missed a bunch until suddenly I was at the end and had the option to shoot, stomp, blow up or let him live. Of course since I had no idea what had really gone on before that I chose to blow him up. Then shoot him. Then stomp him. I did all three right in a row because it reset back to that choice and the bit that comes up after choosing the three violent options had me rolling and that's when I decided to watch the series and then do the CYO special again so I get more of the jokes.

If I had known at the time I got blitzed with him, I would've asked.

I'm trying to think of other things Hendricks has been in that I've seen. She does a voice in Toy Story 4, but it's nothing too memorable. Apparently she was on some episodes of ER back in the day?

She has a great character in Firefly that was in either one or two episodes. One of the best actors in Mad Men and it's a shame she hasn't landed in anything that looked more interesting. She was in some show about wives/moms who were part time criminals, and it just seemed kind of meh.

Ah yes, Good Girls. I watched the first season of that show and enjoyed it but haven't been back since even though I keep seeing new episodes have been recorded for me. To me it seemed like the show started out really interesting to me and then just slowly got kind of ridiculous but maybe they've pulled it back some. I'll have to check it out again sometime.

Upload is good not great, IMO, but very watchable. The lead played guitar for Prince, and figuratively played guitar for Prince in bed, possibly--which adds tons of intrigue, for me at least. The concept is great. But it's not quite as sharp as I wanted. Greg Daniels' best shows were headed by Amy Poehler and Steve Carrell. Maybe this show would have been better with that kind of talent and with more of an ensemble feel--and a tighter story. But it's worth a watch. If they tighten the screws, Season 2 could be excellent. The Office and Parks and Rec both took off in Season 2.

HBO Max actually has some good classic and indie stuff on it because there's a Turner Classic Movies section. Apparently you get it free if you already have an HBO sub, but it's a bit of a process to get it activated.

This should probably go in the movie section, but whatever. All the normal HBO stuff is on there too.
