I estimate the probability of seeing regular season games at about 15%. Multiple players already testing positive? Rates going up across the country? They will pull the plug.

Especially where we don't have a clear understanding of immunity yet. If we could say 'you can't get it twice' with any confidence it might be different.

Jeff Passan's record collection is winning COVID.

No more clutch bad Kyle Lohse sacrifice bunts with the season on the line. With a DH, that moment will be replaced with a 4-6-3 GIDP into the shift by Marp if there is a Game 6 in 2020.

And they call this progress??

According to Sportsnet's Shi Davidi, multiple players and staff members of the Blue Jays have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Blue Jays shut down their spring training facility in Dunedin, Florida last week after one player exhibited COVID-19 symptoms, and now comes word of multiple COVID-19 diagnoses among the organization's ranks. This could complicate matters as the Jays attempt to stage spring training 2.0 and Opening Day 2.0 back in Canada, under a different government and health department than the 29 other major league teams.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Blue Jays are expected to find out in the next day or two whether the Canadian government will approve them playing in Toronto this season.

The Jays would very much prefer to play their spring training and season in Toronto, especially after multiple players at the team's spring training site in Dunedin, FL tested positive for COVID-19. However, Canada has instituted strict social distancing policies so it's unclear whether they'll allow baseball to be played. If they don't, the Blue Jays might be stuck with Dunedin or possibly Buffalo.

Cardinals vice president of ticket sales Joe Strohm said Wednesday that he's "hopeful at some point we will have fans in the ballpark" this season.

“That is all contingent on the city signing off, the situation we have for entering the ballpark, and Major League Baseball’s policies," Strohm added. If the Cards do allow fans at Busch Stadium at some point, it would be a limited capacity. MLB has indicated that they will leave it up to local governments to decide whether or not to allow fans.

Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto said Wednesday that the team has had a "few" players test positive for COVID-19.

It's not clear whether any these players are on the Mariners' 40-man roster, and Dipoto noted that some of them are asymptomatic. Obviously, none of them will take part when workouts for the club begin on July 3.

It’s almost comical how out of touch with reality the league is. Multiple members of teams are coming down with Covid, The nation of Canada might not even allow the Blue Jays back home, and at the same time they’re discussing how
to cram fans back in the stadiums.

You just know fans will be hanging out outside of Busch Stadium probably behind the outfield hoping to get a look into the stadium while games are going on.

The positive of this season is most games this season will take place in the central time zone with no pacific or mountain time zone games. The only times we play games that play in the eastern time zone is against the Reds, Indians, Pirates and Tigers.

We’ll find out during “spring” training. If they have players getting COVID-19 right and left they’ll have to shut down the season.

The Twins have been made aware that several players have tested positive for COVID-19.

Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports that none of the players were working out at Fort Myers in Florida or Target Field in Minnesota. The identity of those players has not been released at this time. There's also no word yet if any of the players are symptomatic.
