Hmm. I thought they were planning on re-seeding each round, which was one of the drivers behind doing the round robin for the top 4 seeds.GeddyWrox wrote: ↑August 18 20, 11:40 amI just looked at the bracket layouts. They have it so the 1 and 2 seeded teams will face off in the next round. Why would they do that?? Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather face Dallas or Calgary than Vegas or Colorado next round (if we manage to advance). It just seems odd that you would pit the 1 seed against the 2 seed in the second round.
Assuming (1)Vegas and (2)Colorado close out their series, and hoping that the (4)Blues win theirs - if Calgary wins I believe we would face Colorado (1 vs. 6, 2 vs. 4), and if Dallas wins we would face Vegas (1 vs. 4, 2 vs. 3).
I think the bracket layouts simply list the matchups in order. At least on the app, they do not have leaders connecting to the next round, where they do for the rest of the bracket.
