This seems like a really bad idea.
It does, but money rules all things MLB, so Manfred isn't going to prevent it from happening. Integrity of the game, be damned!

I just hope I never see, on any sporting field, a scene like the one in "The Last Boy Scout".

Let's not pretend constant cutaways to Great Southern Bank ads and "Nissan Drive of the Game" and "Sprint Call to the Bullpen" and other annoying in-game BS were anything close to something with "integrity."

Most people I know seem to be betting on every single game now. I would rather have fantasy stats on the screen than Great Southern Bank ad with the game in a tiny window for a few moments.

Just because something already sucks doesn't mean it can't suck worse.

I would want to distance myself from FoxNews if I was a TV station.

Look, I know you hate corporations and all, but you have to admit that encouraging gambling on every aspect of the game seems not only wrong for the game but also awfully dangerous for that 18-35 year old demographic they are targeting. Perhaps slightly more dangerous than advertising a bank and a car company.

Worse yet, a big Amoco sign in center field.

Will this be like a TVG broadcast, but for baseball instead of greyhound races?
