I had a deposit in but cancelled it when I saw one on the road. Too tall, stock tires way too big, the hard top is already being recalled due to water intrusion. The 4 door version is too long. I'm getting a Jeep.

That's what I like about it. We had an old school one when I was a youngster. That thing was a tank.

Also, this probably belongs in the cars thread, but I despise how complicated new cars are becoming. My wife has a volvo and while it's awesome on long road trips, it's a [expletive] nightmare to maintain. turbo charged, super charged, constant computer upgrades/problems, difficult oil changes, impossible to work on belts/hoses, etc. Even the simplest of problems are like $1K to get fixed. Recently there was a leaky connection on one of the something or others (hose connection), it took 3 days because they had ot damn near disassemble the entire engine. It's like they've decided to make this [expletive] super complicated to ensure people will bring the cars back to their dealers to get the work done and bakes in an excuse for them to charge excessive fees. Bull [expletive]. Looking at the bronco, it looks like there's probably some of that as well, though, that's probably the case with all new cars.

I haven't done it, but I'd certainly look at the true cost to own that's available on some website out there, surely, about how much all the routine maintenance, depreciation, tires, etc will way into the costs.
