I watched 2 episodes from Season 1 (Memory and Splitting a Check). They certainly had funny moments, but it just didn't hold my interest. Sorry.

Ooof! Then I guess he needs to do an episode on How To... Pick a How To with John Wilson Episode.Michael wrote: ↑November 18 21, 8:16 pmYou weirdly picked the two weakest episodes, but if you weren't feeling those I wouldn't try the others. Re: TV Thread - beware, [expletive] can get spoilery
There was a good write up recently. Just made the point that the show so far works by not progressing. The characters are all stuck and the drama and comedy is them grappling with that. I think that's true but it's starting to meet it's limits with me. I enjoy it, but I've noticed as I've gotten older I can't enjoy comedy series as much once I've got their rhythms down. The Good Place was the last one I finished, I think because it stopped at 4 seasons and they changed the dynamic enough to keep me interested. If Ted Lasso goes on another few seasons I probably won't finish it. What We Do in the Shadows might be an exception. Anyway I'm digressing, but I think Succession is mostly a comedy and without major developments I'm not sure I'm going to hang on. The episode with Adrien Brody was frustrating.BottenFieldofDreams wrote: ↑November 18 21, 11:59 amI gave up on Succession because I found it a little more excruciating than delicious--but it was definitely both.
What a terribly cynical show.

As always late to the party but we binged Ted Lasso over the holiday weekend. Am I the only one who thinks Ted sounds exactly like Waino?

Connor O’Malley & Susan Orlean joined the show. You had my interest already, now I’m definitely going to watch.

The inability of any of the Succession family members to just take the money they have and go feels so foreign and hard to imagine, and then I see things like this.
Not meant to be political. This is true of most Democratic leadership, though this guy did lose his last statewide race.
Kendall - sell your shares and get out with what you’ve got dammit.

Watch the most recent episode that just aired last night! It addresses this question!ghostrunner wrote: ↑December 6 21, 9:10 amThe inability of any of the Succession family members to just take the money they have and go feels so foreign and hard to imagine, and then I see things like this.

Yeah, that's what prompted it. Am I misunderstanding the law/rules, or can he not just sell his current shares and be done? Seemed to me he was trying to get more out of it. I assumed out of pride, but maybe I've missed something.heyzeus wrote: ↑December 6 21, 10:46 amWatch the most recent episode that just aired last night! Never mind - just read that he can only sell shares to family. Missed that. Good lord. I think at that point I'd just F off, get a side business, and come in to vote against Logan's wishes whenever possible.
Apparently a bunch of people this something big happened at the end. I didn’t think that for a second so now I’m curious how that pans out.

Succession is good as hell. Late to the party but just started Season 3. Saw that Comfry is played by Dasha from Red Scare podcast in Season 3. Great show!
Better Call Saul and Succession are about as good as it gets for me. Haven't been impressed with much else in the past few years. I guess I liked White Lotus well enough too.

It's dumb to be bothered about I guess, and maybe it's me being a crusty old man, but Dasha being in the show annoys me. Already don't care for the RS schtick and the Alex Jones thing is too much for me to get past.
