Re: Random musings
Thank you everyone for the well wishes for Dad. He's still struggling. He had some more tests yesterday that we hope to have the results by tomorrow. He had an appointment with his regular doctor today who has ordered him to have blood tests every other day until the foreseeable future. We are pretty sure he will have to have another transfusion tomorrow. Yesterday I thought he looked pretty good and on the way to his procedure he was kind of his normal self. We talked farming, and the usual stuff. Today though his color was drained and he was feeling weak again. I just hope we can figure it out soon.

Re: Random musings
I just realized something weird to me. I was born 21 years after Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor, while terrible and probably shocking at the time, seems like ancient history to me and always has.
People born next year will be as far away from 9-11 as I was from Pearl Harbor. I wonder if that will seem the same to them.
Next time I see old people remembering Pearl Harbor, I am going to have to remember the gut punch I felt on 9-11 that still feels like it happened last year that they must have felt on 12-7 and still today.

Spent my morning thinking about soup. Think the lunch room has tomato basil today.

Why does that blonde lady on the Verizon commercials always walk around like she is in a room where the ceiling is too short?

So the Paul Brothers are actually good at Boxing? Their YouTube content is so drastically idiotic this bothers me. Imagine the biggest jockbro dip [expletive] you knew in high school's channel, and that's the Pauls. I shouldn't be bothered. I am.

Just want to thank everyone on GRB for the kind thoughts for my Dad. I'm happy to report he is doing a lot better. At his lowest his hemoglobin was a 3.6. He couldn't walk across the room without nearly collapsing. He's now up to a 9 and rising for the last week. We still don't know the original source of the bleed but the running theory is something with his surgery a month ago that didn't heal up correctly or healed slowly. He is still in no shape to drive or anything but he rode to the farm with me today which was his first trip there in well over a month. He spent most of the day hanging out in the shop harassing the cats and anyone else who would come in. He was pretty tired by the end of the day, but he was still smiling.
