I really wanted 3 out of 4, but it's fine. Next series

What’s our win probability?
Against Hader? Big fat zero
Not quite…

Does Statcast factor in remaining pen players and their stats for WPA? I thought it was in general from stats up to that point?

Feels like an unfortunate trend for a lot of this season, whether it's missing out on a 3-game sweep or taking 3 of 4. Still a good team, but a step behind the great ones.

Oh well. A road split is the outcome you want.

Another split. This is why I hate 4 game series.

We’ve played 12 games against them this season and thanks to how the schedule was set up and how those series played out, it’s like we never played them at all.

I'll take the split on the road but we need to find a way to win series against Milwaukee.

Exactly how I feel. And it's frustrating because I feel we're 1 or 2 pitchers away from being there. 1 more bullpen arm and 1 more starting pitcher.

If it's between the two though, I'd take the elite bullpen arm. I really wish Bednar was on a team out of our division, I just can't see the Pirates trading him to us, but that's who I want.

I think I've read that Bednar is still cost controlled for awhile, so the Pirates have no need to trade him. He's part of the rebuild (cue hysterical laughter).

There are some names out there that make sense. Jorge Lopez of the Orioles would work gives off strong Oviedo vibes (middling starter with good stuff converts to bullpen, finds success).
