Nope is a movie that exists. I don't think I can recommend paying money to see it. And I love Jordan Peele.
Is it another social commentary movie? If so I’ll prolly pass.
No.

Whoa. That's Data/Short Round as her husband.
He was very, very good. He's done one other movie as an adult actor according to imdb. Pretty interesting.

I liked the movie a lot. One problem with getting older is that everything you found when you were still impressionable bears too much weight. So it was hard for me to shake off all the Eternal Sunshine feel of it. But Damm, that movie is almost 20 years old, and Everything Everywhere All at Once does its own thing more than well enough.
Here's the explanation of his acting gap. Really kind of heartwarming. From 5:10, but you probably should watch all of it.

I wasn’t expecting the black phone to be as good as it was. My only complaint is that that definitely was not “northern Denver” lol

I was pleasantly surprised by Black Phone, as well.

Oh, Prey got really good reviews. I thought it looked cool from the trailer, but was fully expecting 14% on the meter. I just hope that someone has a canoe or a friend or some item called 'chopper' so someone can yell 'get to the chopper.'

Absolutely watching.

Went to Bullet Train tonight; I thought it was fun.

No plot/movie spoilers really but I don't like to create bias.
[SHOW]
It suffered a bit like Love & Thunder with a few too many jokes that weren't necessary. Most of the action/fight scenes were pretty well choreographed. There were a couple of scenes that were hard to suspend disbelief with. That said, there's an interesting through line that's not difficult to spot but I thought added nicely to the plot of the movie. It's stylish, has an interesting setup/backstory and while "too funny" at times, it prevented it from taking itself too seriously, which would have really hurt it.

I do the AMC Membership so for $20/month, I'm glad I went to go see it but I'll probably never watch it again so I wouldn't say it's a must-see.

I agree with the take that Love and Thunder had a few too many jokes for its own good. I also haven't seen any of the Marvel movies in years so while I could tell that quite a few of them were jokes calling back to something else, I didn't really care. Of course everybody else in the theater laughed at them all and thought they were great. I just didn't feel the same way.
