Hmm. Another really long commitment to a good player who probably falls short of consistently great. That puts the Blues at $67.5MM already committed for 23-24, with ROR, Tank, and Barbashev as UFA's. We better hope Thomas and Kyrou are consistent 1st liners.

Thus far I'm only marginally excited for this season. I feel like we've taken a small step back from last season, where we were clearly a level below the Avs. They are probably still a playoff team, and who knows how they match up against the Avs by that point, but it is hard to get pumped up for a season where I feel like we are slightly worse.
