My wife an I are celebrating our 3rd anniversary today. It was actually earlier in the week, but today is the fun day. I can't believe how quickly it's gone and I can't believe have great it's been. I seriously feel like life is just getting to the good part.

(My wife and I celebrated our 20th in August. I hope for you that it continues to get better each year as ours has.)

Is it quiet quitting if someone just stops showing up without saying anything? I think it's different. This is ghosting.

If they leave and then come back without saying anything, that's Larry David-ing.

I got quiet quitted on by a member of my team after a year and a half working together. I got a three sentence text and a few hours notice.

Ghosting is what happens to my interview candidates. "Yes 11 am tomorrow works for me. I am very excited for this opportunity!"

11AM tomorrow: *crickets*

Tomorrow is vegetable soup day. Which is the first day all the ingredients we need to make vegetable soup from our garden are ready. We already have a lot of it canned from summer but tomorrow we'll add sweet corn and green beans to the mix and cook it all slow and low all day. It's the best meal of the year.

Sounds amazing. Makes me think of a children's book we used to read all the time when the younglings were youngling-er.This one: Image

I really liked that book. I had it memorized for a few years.

When should all of GRB there by the way? I can bring the pickled herring.

Come on up, late afternoon and it will be ready. We'll get a fire going around sunset and have some apple pie (the liquid kind) for dessert.

Broke my foot today. Good stuff. Going to make the rest of harvest pretty tough.
