Sami Zayn probably would walk, which sucks because he's been the best part of the best storyline of the past six months. He's refused to work any Saudi show.thrill wrote: ↑January 11 23, 8:35 amThere are "rumors" that some on the roster will walk if they sell to the Saudis, which is a little sus to me, because there is no difference in the mentality of Vince and MBS, only the power they wield. I'm also dubious that anyone will walk because the Saudis will do what they did with LIV and throw an absurd amount of money at them, and it is way easier to float rumors that you'll walk than it is to actually walk. It also puts Tony Khan in an incredibly advantageous negotiating position.

That's a guy who AEW would back the truck up for. He would fit in great. Not everyone over there would.MrCrowesGarden wrote: ↑January 11 23, 8:53 am

Re: PRO wrestling thread
Very true. Sami and KO are the obvious fits.
Sami is such a valuable guy to have on the roster because he can do anything you ask him to do and be great at it.
We want you to be in a comedy match at Wrestlemania with the guy from Jackass. "Ok."
We want you to partner with Kevin Owens. "Ok."
We want you to feud with Kevin Owens. "Ok."
We want you to be the tag-along little brother to The Bloodline. "Ok."
Ok, you were really good at that, how about we sow the seeds for you to be kicked out of The Bloodline before you and KO end the nearly two-year reign of the Usos at Wrestlemania. "Ok."
I don't know if there's a more versatile guy on the roster. Maybe Owens but some of those stories just don't work with KO instead.

Re: PRO wrestling thread
Mox vs Max feud with Sami as Mox's/the BCC's little brother (stir the pot re: the shield and a potential future reunion/feud) who antagonizes Max about his flirtation with WWE. Or just have Sami feud with Max. Either would be great.

It occurred to me that on the day that two major pro wrestling stories broke, the New York Times actually wrote a piece about pro wrestling. It was about Danhausen.

I love danhausen. Every story about him is "he sells more merch than anyone, everybody loves him, but we have no idea how to book him."MrCrowesGarden wrote: ↑January 11 23, 9:21 amIt occurred to me that on the day that two major pro wrestling stories broke, the New York Times actually wrote a piece about pro wrestling.
