Not too long. I think it's a few hours, but I am not 100% sure. The main difficulty with hiking in Bhutan is the altitude.

Going 200 miles to watch 2 Cardinals games in London in June (I have a bad feeling the weather today will be better/warmer than those days).

I'm coming to STL (again) in September for games against the Phillies and someone else I can't remember then on to San Diego for a couple there to tick off another stadium.

I am trying a downtown Airbnb downtown this year to keep costs down as hotel prices seem to be almost Boston high lately in STL so can't get any decent deals despite the transatlatic flights being reasonable.

Open to suggestions for things to do/places to eat in San Diego, though having a look I don't think I will go wanting.

Finally getting out to Colorado and Utah for the first time. We’re hitting Moab, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde, and finally Rocky Mountain NP near Denver. Planning to visit some friends in Ft Collins too.

We’re taking the train to Grand Junction which should be an adventure. First time for that too. It was about 15% the cost of plane tickets, but it takes 24 hours. That’s part of trip though and I expect to like it except for maybe the sleeping part of it. We’re in coach so it’ll mean sleeping on reclining chairs.

Sounds like a great trip. We did Moab and Mesa Verde a few years ago - pre-COVID and before the timed entry at Arches. We had an amazing time out there and would love to go back. One of our highlights was a multi-day float down the Colorado. We couldn't do some of the more adventure-y things like backpacking through the desert or ride trails in Moab (youngest was only 5 and I was recovering from surgery), but we all had a blast (and fortunately I have hiked and biked out there on previous trips).

We're heading to Banff and Jasper Parks to soak in that mountain scenery. We've gotten to the age where my wife will agree to camp on trips for several nights as long as there's a shower available. We'll probably try to hit Waterton Lakes Park (on the Canadian side of Glacier), too. When we were in Glacier a couple of years ago, the border was still closed, so couldn't visit that side of the border. Still figuring out what we'll do, so I'm all ears on suggestions if anyone has been there.

We also have a BWCA trip planned in August - kind of a last unplugged family trip before the oldest starts college in the fall.
