What if I told you Jordan Walker had hits in consecutive at-bats early in Spring Training? And what if I further told you that those hits were being described as "laced" and "rockets"? And what if I further mentioned that Jordan Walker is six foot six inches tall and weighs two hundred and sixty pounds?

Would you be impressed?

Turner Ward isn't the hitting coach. That's good. I have no idea if he's a good hitting coach. I know the results indicated he was not and the Cardinals desperately needed to try something else.

Great news for earthworms if true.

Ryan Helsley was up to 99 mph in his first spring bullpen session and seems to have added a cutter.
Hesley was one of the best relievers in baseball last year, pitching to a 2.04 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 79/23 K/BB ratio in 66 1/3 innings. He also led baseball with 49 saves. It’s great to see that his velocity is already so elevated but adding a cutter would be another important development to jam lefties inside and also make his four-seam fastball more explosive. That could lead to more strikeouts and more fantasy goodness. Helsley should be drafted as one of the top three or four closers off the board in fantasy this year.

Well [expletive]; how much does a cutter cost?
